Who we are and scope

Rovesgo is a trading name of VIRASAKA MOBILE LTD, company no. 16231139. VIRASAKA MOBILE LTD is the controller for the processing described in this policy where we decide why and how personal data is used. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

This policy covers the Rovesgo website and apps, eSIM orders and services, customer support, Rovesgo Credits and referral programmes, and related communications. A local mobile network operator, payment provider or other partner may also act as an independent controller for processing it determines for its own purposes.

The English version is authoritative. Translations are provided for convenience and, if their meaning differs, the English version applies except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Data we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may process:

• identity and contact data, including name, email address, phone number and communication preferences;

• travel information needed for the service, including destination, country code and relevant travel dates;

• order, plan, price, currency, billing, payment-method and transaction-reference data;

• eSIM identifiers, installation and activation status, first network connection, data usage and validity;

• Rovesgo Credits balances, earning, spending and expiry records, referral codes and referrer-referred relationships;

• support request dates, times and content, correspondence, screenshots and troubleshooting material, including screen sharing only where you expressly agree;

• IP address, approximate city or country, device type, operating system, app version, browser, language, technical identifiers, error logs and security records;

• push tokens and notification preferences; and

• cookie choices, analytics events, fraud-prevention and consent records.

Where data comes from

We receive data directly from you when you create an account, place an order, use Credits, make a referral, configure the service or contact support. We also receive relevant information from devices and service interactions, eSIM providers, mobile network operators, payment processors, distribution partners, hosting and communications providers, analytics services, and security or fraud-prevention partners. If you provide information about another person, you must have a lawful basis to do so and tell them how their data will be used.

How we use data

We use personal data to create and manage accounts and orders; deliver, install and activate eSIMs; determine network connection, usage and validity; process payments and refunds; operate Credits and referral programmes; provide support and troubleshoot faults; send operational messages and optional notifications; secure our systems and prevent fraud, chargeback abuse or programme misuse; meet legal, tax and accounting duties; establish or defend legal claims; and understand and improve service performance and customer experience.

Legal bases

Under the UK GDPR and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, we process data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, including order fulfilment, Credits transactions and support; to comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting rules; for legitimate interests such as service security, fraud and programme-abuse prevention, refund and dispute review, record keeping and proportionate service improvement, after considering your rights; or with consent where required, including for certain analytics, marketing, optional push notifications and screen sharing. You may withdraw consent at any time for future processing.

Payments

Our payment processor collects and handles full payment-card details. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes. We may receive limited information needed to manage an order, refund or fraud check, such as payment status, card type, the last digits of a card and a transaction reference.

Cookies, analytics and communications

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the service. Preference, analytics and marketing technologies are used according to your choices and applicable law; where consent is required, they are not activated before you consent. You can change your choices in Cookie Settings. We send service communications where needed for your order or account and marketing only where permitted, with an available opt-out.

Push notifications and device data

If you enable push notifications, we process a push token, relevant device information and your preferences to send order, activation, usage or selected promotional alerts. You can disable push notifications in your app or device settings. Necessary service notices may still be sent by email or another appropriate channel.

Who receives data

We share data only as reasonably necessary with eSIM providers and mobile network operators, and with providers of payments, hosting, infrastructure, analytics, communications, customer support, security and fraud prevention. Professional advisers, authorities or parties to a lawful business reorganisation may also receive data where legally required or reasonably necessary. Processors acting for us are subject to appropriate contractual obligations.

International transfers

Travel connectivity and technology services may require data to be processed outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where a destination is not covered by an applicable adequacy decision, we use recognised safeguards, such as the relevant standard contractual clauses or UK transfer mechanism, and supplementary measures where appropriate. You may contact us for information about the safeguards used.

How long we keep data

We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described, taking account of service delivery, disputes, fraud prevention, security and legal retention duties such as tax and accounting requirements. Retention varies by data type, context and risk. We then securely delete or anonymise the data.

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to or correction of your data, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and may withdraw consent. Exceptions can apply, and we may request reasonable information to verify your identity. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or, where applicable, your local data-protection authority.

Children, security and automated decisions

The service is not directed to children who cannot validly enter into the relevant contract under applicable law, and we do not knowingly collect their data without an appropriate legal basis. We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature and risk of processing, although no system is completely secure. Automated signals may identify fraud or security risks and prioritise manual review. We do not ordinarily make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects; if that changes, we will provide the information and rights required by law.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our service, practices or law. We will publish the revised version with a new date and provide additional notice where required. For questions, requests or concerns, email [email protected], use Contact, or write to VIRASAKA MOBILE LTD at our registered office above.
